The big city has definitely changed a lot since the pandemic. From there not being any people to shops not being open for health risks or being shut down completely.

They shut down because they could not afford the costs of staying up and running during the pandemic.

The big crowds seem to be nothing but a memory to the people of New York as the state takes on many precautions to keep their Covid-19 rates low.

New York is still finding new ways to cope with the pandemic and keep up its name.

Tourist attractions such as the 9/11 memorial, Color factory, SpyScape, The New York Times, Restaurants, Museums, and the Rockefeller Ice Skating and Tree Sighting have all made it to where you have to have appointments to go to them or take pictures but you have to be on time because even if you a little late you will not be aloud in.

Even with the Covid restrictions Saks on 5th Avenue still had their window shopping set up and their big light show. Stopping to watch the show is the only crowd you will see now. It was not a very big crowd compared to how they used to be but it is something.

Some things, like Broadway, have completely closed for the year and are not going to open back up until the next season or the pandemic dies down some more.

New York has done a very good job at keeping their cases down recently with their safety precautions. Their cases are only as high as one third of our cases here in Virginia.

New York's governor has done a great job of getting news out to the public where visitors and residents can see it. They have even made a protocol that visitors that are not from bordering states must get tested and have the results the day they arrive then quarantine for three days upon arrival and get retested on the third day and once that test gets a negative result then you can circulate with the public.
